Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of waterdrome.com (the "Service") and is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meaning given there. If you violate this AUP, we may remove content, suspend or terminate your account, and take any other action available to us.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use account features. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

2. General rules

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  2. Use any content from the Service as a source for flight planning, navigation, or operational flight decisions. The Service is informational only.
  3. Submit content you know or suspect to be false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating another person or business.
  4. Post another party's confidential or personal information, or any defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or infringing content.
  5. Interfere with, disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or related systems.
  6. Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download content except as expressly permitted, or use automated means to submit content.
  7. Introduce malware, attempt to defeat rate limits, or circumvent security or moderation controls.
  8. Misuse provider or lead features, including submitting fake inquiries, harvesting contact details, or sending unsolicited messages.
  9. Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without our written permission.

3. Rules for user contributions

When you submit conditions, fuel prices, seasonal access notes, approach or departure notes, reviews, photos, or other content, you agree to:

  1. Submit only your own genuine, good-faith observations.
  2. Keep approach and departure notes observational, not procedural. Do not post content framed as official instructions or approved procedures.
  3. Not assert that any waterway is legally open or closed, or otherwise present regulatory rulings as authoritative.
  4. Not post content that could mislead a pilot into an unsafe action.
  5. Not submit content you are not authorized to share, or that infringes a third party's rights.

We may review, edit, refuse, label, or remove any contribution at our discretion, but we have no obligation to monitor, and we do not verify contributions.

4. Rules for providers

If you create or claim a listing, you agree to:

  1. Represent only a business you own or are authorized to manage, and verify ownership when asked.
  2. Provide accurate, current, and non-deceptive information, and hold any licenses or permits your services require.
  3. Not post misleading pricing, fake reviews, or content that violates this AUP.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, and revoke listings, with or without notice. Repeat infringers will be terminated.
